Thanks to all the neighbors who have shared and continue to share relevant neighborhood information. Recently, several neighbors have provided extensive past records and information which has greatly helped with the digitization project. Most recently, a request was made to find out what was happening with the gate, here is the response that was requested to be shared:
The people from Cowlitz Fence finally showed up today at 3:30 p.m. They are the same people that installed the gate we now have and put in the sensor that keeps it from closing on a car trying to get past the gate entrance. Myself and Dave Berg met with Jim the owner of Cowlitz Fence and discussed the problem with the gate. We were informed the current gate closing device is so old and obsolete that getting needed parts would be all but impossible.
Therefore, he suggested we consider replacing the current system with a new one that will accept current remotes plus new ones as needed. He is going to give us a quote for this work that can be discussed at the board meeting on Jan 22, 2022. I suggest we get at least two additional bids prior to making a decision to replace the current equipment prior to awarding a contract for replacement.
While this will be an inconvenience to many of us and our security will be at risk we will have to endure the problem until it is resolved. Please be patient and let us continue to solve the problem.
