Tom Smith gate parts exchange

Subject: Facts regarding the front gate
I understand that I am being personally malignedand slandered by a posting at the front gate.
“GATE INOP:”
“WHY?  BECAUSE TOM SMITH HAS PARTS TO FIX AND WON’T GIVE TO REPAIR CREW”.
Fact:  I have never been asked for these parts by Mr. Sederberg or anyone else.  They were given to me by Mr. Sederberg as extra parts for gate repair, why I do not know. I am the Treasurer and have nothing to do with the gate repair.  They should have been retained by Mr. Sederberg if needed for gate repair.
“ALSO, TOM SMITHWON’T REIMBURSE FOR REPAIR ITEMS PURCHASED, ON HAND AND IN HIS POSSESSION.”
Fact:  I was also informed by Mr. Sederberg that the invoice for the parts was included in the box with the parts.  It was not.  I asked Mr. Sederberg to provide a copy of the invoice so that I could reimburse him.   As of this date, none has been provided.
I will be up in the LOA on Thursday afternoon and I will place the box of parts at the corner of Green Water Drive and Sunnydale Ct.  Mr. Sederberg can pick the parts up there.  Since Mr. Sederberg chooses not to receive email from the CWLOA email address, and continues to send things through his personal web site which the Board does not monitor or accept emails from, will someone please inform him of this.
A copy of the packing slip that Mr. Sederberg provided in the box of parts is attached.  Anyone can clearly see that this isnot an invoice.

Recent email sent by Tom Smith regarding gate issues

An email was recently sent to several residents within the community. This email implied several things as facts. Regardless of the inaccuracies, several implications are not accurate. Most importantly, the concept that I would post a piece of paper at the front gate is laughable. If I were to want to make a statement, I would post it on my “personal“ website.

Putting that silly idea aside, the items that were ordered for future use were presented to the board at the last meeting with a receipt taped with scotch tape to the top of the box. This would have had to been removed to get to the packing slip inside the box with the parts that were ordered for future repairs. The responsibility of the board is to manage issues, and the gate has been down for a week. It is not my responsibility to ask for the parts to fix the gate, it is the responsibility of the board to manage the issue, which in this case would require them to be proactive in facilitating the restoration of security. A simple email or phone call would be sufficient. The offer to set the parts on the side of the road is passable, however a simple drop of the parts at a doorstep to expedite the repair would be the responsible and thoughtful thing to do.

We all have lives and differences of opinion. Having the maturity to step over the line and contribute to the resolution of a communal problem would be a nice gesture. The dollars expended and the process in which that is reimbursed by the treasurer is secondary to the resolution of the issue. Tom, sprout a pair and get me the parts.

Bougie vibes,
Martin Sederberg
