It has come to the attention of the board that a meeting was recently held where votes were taken on several matters related to CWLOA. The requirements to hold a valid meeting are clearly detailed in the bylaws. To be clear, if the meeting was held without proper notice and within the prescribed time frames, any outcome of such a meeting would not be valid.
The whole point of the bylaws is to insure that all residents and landowners are equally protected and respected within the community. Exclusion of any member of the community violates that threshold. Denying any member of the community the right to attend and be heard is a violation of common decency and respect.
The current board strives to be transparent and inclusive. Rules of the bylaws are followed and all notifications of meetings and the outcome of those meetings are made available to all parties. As previously stated, a valid board meeting will occur on February 4, 2023 and every resident or landowner is invited to attend. As previously stated, one topic of primary interest will be the detailed explanation of the easement situation at the river and possible solutions related to that issue.
The financial information requested by several residents was posted for all members to review on the related post. Additional subjects of discussion were listed on the meeting notification. We look forward to seeing any residents and landowners on February 4, 2023. Please familiarize yourselves with the protocol for attending the board meeting before your arrival.
UPDATE: If residents or landowners were notified or organized to attend a meeting, and proof that any member was not notified is evident, the meeting would be invalid. By the very nature of three or more parties attending a meeting, the evidence of organization is evident. If the organizers of such a meeting cannot prove that each resident or landowner was notified, there is inherent proof that the meeting was exclusive. As outlined in the bylaws, any additional activity or voting beyond the point of the meeting would be invalid. The disregard for the protocol indicates a lack of respect for the process, and that is clearly indicative of the motivations of the organizers. To be clear, the current board has the ability to document and prove adherence to the process outlined in the bylaws.
