Pursuant to the recent vote held by and results received and documented, the CWLOA Bylaws have been updated and recorded under recording number 3590992. You may open this link to print out a copy here:
Pursuant to the recent vote and counts, we are assembling bids for the gate control system components and necessary hardware and will get that project underway as soon as it is able to proceed.
There is only one BOARD and the recent letter that apparently all community members received from the group that held an unadvertised meeting to hold a recall vote has been responded to. If they choose to press this strategy, it is going to cost the community legal fees. Please review the issue here.
One of the CWLOA attorneys on retainer, the one that was hired to initially review edits to the Bylaws by the previous board, has been tasked with beginning the process of dealing with the river access and gate issue. You may read his Cascade Woodland Ltr 3-14-23 here. It may not may not be exactly what everyone would like, however it is starting a legal process to move forward to resolution.
Any and all members of the community have the right to file independent suits against the property owners, we will be having a meeting shortly to identify the process in which to break the tie regarding expending money to continue this process. You will be notified of that board meeting according to the requirements outlined in bylaws.
The next steps on the agenda will be related to holding a meeting to approve the tie breaker process for river access, addressing the January 21 meeting issue and how to defend that issue, and we will also be discussing updating the convenents and restrictions as necessary to preclude the new zoning laws Lewis County has approved for multi family housing projects within the county.
Finally, according to the updated bylaws, you have the right to not receive electronic communications. Information will be posted publicly with equal access to all.
